well, I have bought a steel fan and a cluch to replace the stock flex fan to save HP and reduce noise!!!
But I have problem,,, the clutch is always engaged, even in very cold weather. That makes the highway driving very uncomfortable due to noise.:(
Any way to adjust it? I checked the Thermal snail spring and it is in the place it should be!
Help me please...

I replaced my fan cluthc a year or so ago.
It seems to be engaged when it first starts cold and gradually loosens up after a couple of minutes and gets quieter. Then... It engages again when everything gets warm.

I used the heavy duty one (for AC) and it sounds like a freakin' large truck fan. I'm tempted to put my orginal one back on since my problem was probably a radiator going south (Replaced) and not the fan clutch in the first place.

Not sure what to tell you about yours.

Went through four clutches in my old S10 that did the same thing. Never did coast. I don't know what the solution is but I put an electric fan on the truck and solved the problem finally. Seems like aftermarket fan clutches are junk IMHO. I did find that I could run the engine at higher rpm for a couple miles and it would finally unlock for a bit. I sure wasted some money on those things.

75 white LT...

When the engine is shut off and temps are cool (like evening), can you turn the fan blade by hand without moving the fan belts?

Standard duty or heavy duty? The heavy duty ones will roar quite a bit even after you've driven them a while. They all roar when first started up.
