What is the stock length of the vortec intake bolts? I have the right thread but do not have the right length, i dont think.........

just stick something like a screwdriver in the hole the bolt threads to and mark where how deep it goes, then measure that length and get one a little bit shorter than that

I have 1 and a half inch long bolts but it only screws into the threads like 3 turns before it gets tight..........Is that enough thread hold to attach my intake or do i need more thread grab than that?

You'll need more than that. I'm not 100% on this but I'd look for something about a 1/4 longer than what you have and that should be fine.

I just measured my ARP bolts for Vortec # 434-2002 and they measure exactly 1.5 inches from the bottom of the shoulder to the tip of the threads. Of course there is also a washer that goes on so your 1.5 bolts should be right on.

I wouldnt feel comfortable with only 3 turns... I'd hate to see ya pull a thread out...

You can always research it yourself.............

I mounted the intake and torqued it down to spec.........no pulled threads, and seems it mounted fine........it screwed in another 4 times: so total 7 threads in...........I feel good with that.........Sorry I have researched it and 3 different times I was told different sizes and lengths.........So thats why I came to you guys.................You guys always help me out........Thanks again..........I will have some engine porn posted tommorrow!!!!:) :bowtie:
