ive got a 1974 model 350 the engine block casting number is 3970010. the crank numbers are 3932442 and mortec.com said it was a medium journal crank. i was gonna buy some main cap bolts and i was wandering where to get them. i went to summit and they had bolts for small journal and large journal,but not medium journal.

That's a "2442" large journal cast crank.

Technically, it is a medium journal crank. The 400 small block screws everything up. It has larger journals than the 350. Everyone refers to "small journal", "large journal", and the 400. The large journal bolts will fit your engine.
