I was think of running a 12 gall cell instead of 16 just to keep the fuel more fresh, this is on a street strip car, no long huals, Is foam a good idea for street/strip to avoid slosh?

i bought my harwood cell used. had been sitting arround empty for a while. the foam was pretty much dry-rotted and crumbling apart at that point. i removed it and cleaned it well. thinking of making an interlocking plastic shield with holes in the shield setup in there somehow. i think the foam would be ok if it's in good shape and you kept an eye on it. i didn't like the fact that it was crumbling apart in little pieces though. your call.
