I recently purchased a 350 engine to replace the 307 in my 1971 Camaro. The only numbers that I could find stamped on the 350 engine was K10 19 CMR. Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean.
Thanks,

CMR is the sufix code which tells about the engine... It can mean
1974 CMR 350 tur hydro trans., 145 HP 2bbl carb, A body car
1978 CMR 350 m/t L82 220 HP 4bbl carb Vette/Z-28
1980 CMR 305 auto trans., LG4, 155 HP 4bbl carb full size cars
To make sure which one it is, you'll need to get the casting number and look it up.
You'll find that number on rear driver's side of engine, on flange where transmission bolts up too.
K1019 is the build date
K = St. Catherines, Ontario
10 = 10th mo. Oct.
19 = 19th day of mo.

Thanks for the information. I was curious about the year of the engine. Upon purchase I was told that it was a 350 with about 50,000 miles and pushing a little over 300 hp
