Has anyone out there ever used fel-pro 1094? It has a comp thickness of 0.015 and I could get my compression ratio up a little if you think this would be a good reliable gasket.

By the way, Im using vortecs on a 4.040" cast piston 0.045 in the hole.

The Fel-Pro catalog says they are .015 thick. I would not recommeding the
m unless The heads have been milled and the block decked..Other than that, they look like a good pick to gain some comp. Good Luck and let us know how it runs..Thanks, Rich PS..I al
ways use coppercoat on a shim hg ShiRich

I'm using them for the first time this year in my 355. My pistons are a flattop with 5cc valve reliefs & 64cc heads so my compression should be about 10.2-10.4.
I've had no problems with running just straight Premium gas so far this year.
A double thumbs up about using the coppercoat spray on them as Rich suggests but I use it on all my head gaskets.

I'm running the 7733SH gaskets and my dad is running the 1094's

The 7733SH is a non coated 4.100" X .015" steel shim

The 1094 is a rubber coated 4.100" x .015" steel shim.

I don't like to put sealer on rubber coating, so I did'nt put any on my dad's head geasket.

But on a non coated shim I cover both sides of gasket with copper coat sealer.

About 8K miles on mine, and about 1,500 miles on my dad's. 0 probs with the head gaskets.

Mine nor his was milled/decked, just cleaned the decks and heads very good before installing the gaskets

the 1094 gasket is a quality piece (better be for $20 a pop), they are more forgiving than people give them credit for. No need to spray copper-coat on these rubber embossed gaskets.

I have an undecked block and undecked heads and I used the 1094 with copper coat and they worked fine.

My turbo motor is using the 1094s with no copper coat (my engine builder said not to with the rubber coating) and so far they have help perfectly.

Read the instructions for the 1094's. You need a RA 55 on the heads and deck. Also, run a slim coat of sealent around the water hole (felpro recommends this). I've ran them before on a combo with new heads and an undecked block - I just light sanded the deck.
