I have a 1966 block and I want to change from the cannister type to a spin on type oil filter. Will the adapter plate from a spin on filter work on my early block?
Thanks.

Jim

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

For the life of me I can't picture the filter area of an old style block in my mind. I think it will work, but there's gotta be some sort of caveat to it.

Mrs Gasket part # 1270 is what you need.

I'm pretty sure you can't just use a spin on mount from a later engine. You need the adapter

Summit has it for $12.50
TRD-1059 for use with stock bypass valve
or
TRD-1024 has own bypass valve in it
