Hey guys in the past i have always used the Fel-pro 1017-1 gasket for the BBC but i have never had this much compression before. What are some of you guys with BBc engines using for head gaskets now with high compression or big boost to keep them from blowing out?

We run those gaskets on a twin turbo setup on a riverboat, nothing more than a little copper coat spray, and they easily live at 15# of boost. We've also used the Fel Pro MLS gasket on 14.5:1 565's. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Right on. i spoke to my engine builder today, and told me the gaskets i have will be fine. So i will stay with the 1017-1 Fel Pro's. Its all i have ever used.
Plus the block would of had to have been torque plate honed with the MLS gasket in order to keep the bore correct.
