View Full Version : Can I see some exhuast pics please?
MulletMan1980 04-26-2005, 05:17:00 AM I wanna see a back shot of some "true dual" setups mainly from the rear ie looking from the rear diff to the mufflers. Im looking for ideas on how low most setups are and ideas on how to tuck mine up possibly. Please post your set up if you can.

The crossflow one looks pretty cool. Which one do you think will sound/perform better?

The start of mine. 3 inch to 2 1/2 inch reducers pipes from Headman into a Hooker H pipe setup all welded up. I'll put some pipe and then 45 degree bends and exit it right in front of the tires with some big fat oval tips. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
bryan1970 04-28-2005, 07:35:00 PM oh man you gotta let us know how that turnes out. mainly becasue that is what i want to do with my exhaust. what kind of mfflers are you gonna run?

bryan1970 04-29-2005, 07:10:00 PM yeah i guess i forgot to say who. but yeah retorq what you are doing is exactly what i want to do. and i'd really appreciate it if you could let us all know how that turns out. i was gonna try and use flowmaster 40 series mufflers
BADBOWTIE75 05-01-2005, 04:33:00 AM i am running true dual 2.5 with the summit h pipe kit and dual 40 series flows that dump and the rearend and it made a big difference in the torque or atleast the feel of it anyways not to mention the sound. it gives me butterflys just thinking about it

Adam G 05-01-2005, 09:30:00 AM Not to be too technical, but I like to see the dual mufflers position the way they came from the factory. Meaning, the factory somewhat tilted the muffler, the side closet to the driveshaft was up, and the outer side down. This somewhat followed the conture of the floor pan. GM did this to give the most ground clearence they could.(Same was done on T/A's of that time). IMHO of course, but I like that look of the muffler from behind, versus them being positioned flat, or straight.
retorq 05-02-2005, 11:01:00 PM I didn't plan on running mufflers but I'll let you know how it turns out. I'll take pics of it all too, I think you'ld be able to fit smaller mufflers and still exit in front of the tire. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

bryan1970 05-02-2005, 11:34:00 PM saweet thanks that would help a ton. i haven't gotten the chanse to get my car on the lift yet, as it has yet to run after the engine swap, so i wasn't sure of the room under there to yield a front of the rear tire exhaust exit
72RS408BB 05-03-2005, 11:06:00 AM Can I just post a jpeg or attach one, it seems Im having issues getting a photo up. Or I could send to email if need be.
retorq 05-03-2005, 05:32:00 PM You'll need to host the photo somewhere and then link to it. If you want to email it to me retorq@digitalhijinx.com I'll host it.
