ok i'm ordering my fuel system..

i already have my fuel cell.. so i'm using a 8AN to hardline adapter to hook to the cell.. and run the hardline(1/2" aluminum) to the mechanical fuel pump.. i'm gonna use a small 5" piece of rubber hose to connect from the hardline to the pump(i see no other way)... then an adapter from the pump output -6AN and 3/8 hardline(aluminum)[flared with a 6an nut and sleeve] to the dual feed carb thing with a 6an flare nut and sleeve also..

how does this sound??

anything i should change??

Why aren't you using AN hose from the hard line to the pump? Get a female AN tubing nut and insert for the hard line and assemble them. Then use a male to male coupler, a short piece of -6 line with female ends, then you use an NPT to male AN on the pump.

the pump i'm using is a standard GM mechanical.. the input is a tube with a barb.. it's non removable.. http://i22.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/f6/08/fa_1_b.JPG like this but mine doesn't have a return

the output on the other hand is the 5/8-18(i think) inverted flare so i wont have a problem with that...

i think the tracks allow a maximum of 12" rubber line.. so i should still be track legal since i'd only be using about 5"...
