If I plan on just using the car in the summer, will I need a choke? My carb at the moment has a manual choke, and I would rather not drill another hole in the firewall.

I went to an electric choke after about 2 months. Wouldabin 03-01-2007, 11:41:14 PM no hole in your firewall currently that you can fish the cable through? got mine hooked up where the old rear defroster used to be.. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/wouldabin/DSCF0514.jpg CorkyE 03-01-2007, 11:49:56 PM Daily driver? Drill a hole or put an electric kit on... IMHO Wouldabin 03-02-2007, 07:45:59 AM yea, an electric choke will only set u back about $40. will need to get power to it though. Twisted_Metal 03-02-2007, 04:53:16 PM You don't NEED a choke. I drove my Camaro for about 15 years without one. I finally bought a different Q-Jet and got one with an electric choke. The way to go, IMO. camertom 03-02-2007, 06:48:14 PM Summer only? Up here in Canada I get along fine without a choke as well. Started it as low as 38F....not turn key but it still started up no problem after a few turns and pumps. |
