Just quick question. The engine runs great and all, just wondering if there's more I can do.

The stock timing for my engine is 4 deg. BTDC @ 400 rpm.

I don't have a tach, and I'm not even sure I used the right notch on the timing tab since its so old and rusted, but I got the car to run super smooth and went with that. so ~4 deg I suppose.

There's a new manifold and carb on this 305, and I was wondering if I should change the timing at all? more retard or advance? I love low-end torque, thats sort of my goal.
Any advice appreciated as always!

Do a quick search on timing, I`m sure you will find enough info to keep you busy for a while. It`s been so long since I timed an engine I wouldn`t know where to start explaining. It will definetly be time well spent researching and experimenting. I don`t think you will find a ton of power, but the difference in throttle responce can be a amazing.

Are you sure it's at 400rpm? That sounds a little low

Sunpro mini tach - $35 at Autozone. It fits nice where my broken clock used to be.
