who has the part # for the GM melonized distributor gear for roller cams for the large cap HEI with .500 shaft? need to order one tomorrow.

10456413 is the only Melonized gear I see listed. It says .491 shaft.

That part number is correct, and the shaft is indeed .491" on the large cap HEI. I am running the same gear.

hmm, i must have gotten confused along the way somewhere on distributor shaft size.

Pat,

Most of the aftermarket distributors use a .500" shaft. Most the factory and some of the Accels are .491"

i got confused because the one i have now is # 19052845 for the small cap HEI which apparently uses a smaller shaft than the large cap. odd, cause every listing i find lists the same gear for the small cap i have in my truck, the large cap in the 91 vette, and the hei in my 76 c30.

I've got a brand new one I'll sell you for a litle less than what you'll pay at the counter - bought it awhile back and never used it.

i ordered one for 28 total from gmpartsdirect.com. i called the local assbag dealer who wanted $43(full list) and couldnt have it for a few days, i dont need it for a week or two anyway.
