Finally got my car fired up and tuned today- I've been posting too many questions lately- well it all paid off!

The car runs, idles 50 times smoother than it used to, has a million times more power and sounds fantastic http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just swapped the old stock intake and carb for an edelbrock performer and 1406 square bore 4bbl carb... Oh WOW what a difference!

So- thanks to everyone who helped out!!

Ain't it amazing what going from a low low rise intake to a medium rise dual plane will do? And having a carb with performance jetting? http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif Glad to hear it all worked out for ya!

I bet yellowf40 could do it http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif J/K

I bet a good carb on the stock intake would do well. I've got a book by David Vizard where he reworks a stock Qjet intake and it flows 280 cfm! I did this to an intake just to see how hard it is to do and it's nothing.

Now you need headers!

I may have the intake tube still lying around.. I know they're apparently a hot item.. however, mine, like many others I assume, is more leaky airspace than tube. Shortly after that before pic was taken I wrapped it in silver duct tape!

looked.. unique. And yeah headers WOULD be nice wouldnt they? next up on the "list" is rims and tires followed by suspension, and then interior.
