rogerh 04-15-2005, 12:01:00 AM Have the machine shop drop them in the hot tank for awhile. I'll bet they come out pretty clean. RH

He didn't say anything about aluminum http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif Either way, most machine shops can clean either steel or aluminum pans for around $10-20 each. It's worth it!!
Marv D 04-15-2005, 12:13:00 PM A hot tank is without a doubt the best, but for an 'at home' alternative, Easy-Off oven cleaner will help break up the cooked crud. Spray it liberally, let it sit over night, break loose crud off, repeat.... Caution, the FBI won't be able to identify the dead corps if you inhale too much of that crap,, Easy-off will turn you finger prints into a pool of slime in short order,, USE GLOVES!!!

That stuff works great on aluminum intakes too. I cleaned one up and it looked almost new again ( accept for the dings in it). It did a better job than engine de-greaser http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif
