Hi guys....I know that this is a camaro forum, but would anyone know if the gm performance zz4 intake will fit under the hood and close while still retaining the stock shaker air cleaner?? The car is an original California car and uses the chevy 305 engine. If this intake will not clear due to height, what are my other options?

It sure will! That is the exact intake I'm using, and it fits even with my factory air cleaner.

1978LT...just to be sure, you are currently running the zz4 intake on a TransAm with the shaker air cleaner and it clears the hood without ANY issures??? Also, what kind of performance increases did you notice using that intake??

Actually I'm running that intake on a '78 Type LT with an '80-'81 Z/28 hood. It's a very torquey intake, definitely better than an untouched stocker. I think it's basically a Performer intake with a different name on it.
