Hey guys and gals,

im currently swapping out my '66 motor (its an impala) for a '65 283c.i. (this motor is out of a chevelle malibu) I was just wondering if there were any significant differences between the motors and if anyone had any advice for me about the swap. Also i guess the oil pans are a little different and i was wondering how long of a oil pick up i needed for it. what kind of motor is coming out?

I have an important piece of advice for you dude. Put in a big block. Use that wimpy 283 for a doorstop or something. That big heavy car needs some cubic inches to get it going. I'd suggest 396 or 427.
