Hi,
my 750hp has a bent throttle linkage plate. I want to get it straight with the plate off the carb, so I won't damage/bent any other parts while extending force on it.
Who can tell my (step by step) how to get it off the carb, or provide me with a link to a page with pics of a disassembly?
You can use this pic when explaining:

Is that all your conserned about is the bend at the bottom of the linkage? If so, I would just take a small (6") adjustable wrench and bend it back. The only thing that can happen is it might loosen up alittle where it is stamped unto the rest of the linkage. Alot of the big carb builders braze, mig or tig weld it at that point anyhow so it doesn't slip while WFO.I mig weld all of my carbs before I use them or sell them. I have one for sale on here now...Good Luck...

ditto with breeze,, you can also support it with another pair of channel locks at the upper part and bend the lower part back to ease the twisting at the staked end in hopes of it not getting loose...... not to big a deal as breeze stated.
if you must remove it (the throttle shaft),, you should be sure to file off the smashed ends of the butterfly disc screws,, where the threaded ends stick out the bottom of the shaft,, before removal of them. they stake/smash/brad the screws threads there,, so they won't fall out and get swallowed by the engine. it'll ruin the shaft if you take them out as is,, without filing them off,, if they don't break off from getting stuck in there without filing. then red locktite them on re-assy. hope it helps.
