Does anyone know whether an Edelbrock Performer RPM with work ok on a 74 Z28 engine with the QJet carb on it using the orginal dual air cleaner base setup without have any hood clearance problems?

Nope, youll need a dropbase air cleaner to clear the hood with an rpm manifold. You might squeak by if you used a performer.
