I have an 1980 z28 with an original 305 engine. I live in California where the smog law's darn near prevent us from doing anything, but its possible with a little creativity. I have a set or ram horn exhaust manifolds from a 1979 L82 corvette that I am considering using. I think these will increase my flow over the tiny LG4 manifolds even though these ram horns are only of the 2" type. My concern is whether the ram horns will interfear with anything....meaning, does anyone know if I can use these things??? I NEED to retain my air injection tubes inorder to stay smog legal. Any help here would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks~

Those manifolds will hit the crossmember on a Camaro. Any chance a set of emission headers with the injection tubes will pass smog in your area? I doubt the manifold swap would net you anything more than a bunch of work and a huge headache.

maybe you could hand port the exhaust manifolds ad get them to flow alittle better?

Look at Hedmanns catalog. They have shorty headers that are emissions legal, not sure if it includes California or not though.
