im stuck guys i have a brand new set of trw forged dished pistons for a 350 .30 over for my blower,i dnt know if i should put the 355 together or buy a set of forged dished pistons for my 406 if i do the 406 i will sell the pistons but if you think i should do the 355 i will sell the 406 the blower is a 144 and 406 is a 4bolt give me your opinions and hopefully i can figure sumthing out

Its up to you but the 406 will make alot more power than the 350...

thanks hulk thats what i was thinking but every1 keeps talking about the walls and the overheating on the 406 and thats why i was confused

You will be fine!

Just make sure whatever heads you use on the 400 SB have the steam holes drilled.

Remember that the blower will produce less boost on a 406 because of the increased displacement of the engine.

i was thinking about doing the 355 but having another choice between a 4 bolt main or a 2 bolt with splayed caps but this would be on the street driving with about 425 to 475 horses so would and could i get away with the factory 4 bolt because most people say do the splayed 4 more strenth but i wont have more than 500 hp what do you think

If you can afford the splayed caps and you have a shop capable of doing the job correctly that's the way to go but a factory 4 bolt block will work with your application. Just be careful of your static compression ratio and boost levels because detontation is a engine killer.
