I know one of them is an oil passage that I can tap into for a pressure gauge, but what is the other one? I assume the bottom one that already has a plug in it is the pressure port, but the top one is unplugged. I got the block this way from the machine shop so is it safe to assume that I don't need to plug the top one?

Thanks in advance.

Man, before I even scrolled down I realized that's what it had to be!

Thanks for the confirmation!

Travisty,

Some blocks have two clutch pivot holes, one forewards about 4"s or so and that one.

And my car's bellhousing has another one in it that's in line and back about 1.5" or so from the block face for a third one.

It all depends on what vehicle the motor goes in and the clutch actuation mechanism, (mechanical or hydraulic), as far as which hole is finally used.

This is just one more reason our motors are SO COOL vs say, a Blue Oval, b/c they can be installed stock in many many different ways AND work fine with almost ZERO hassle!!
