Rick WI 03-18-2005, 01:41:00 PM Hylomar or Permatex liquid teflon sealer tom3 03-18-2005, 07:15:00 PM I use teflon pipe thread dope. Lubes and seals and cost about two bucks for a small can. Use it to seal about any threads. pdq67 03-18-2005, 09:38:00 PM I have always used good old, Permatex, "Indianhead Shellac Gasket Cement" in the little, brown - "shoe polish, dauber bottle!! I put a daub on the threads and a schosh under the heads of my headbolts and step torque away!! I also re-torque them at least three times after heat cycling over about two days.. Works fine for me.. pdq67 73454 03-19-2005, 12:07:00 AM Factory bolts all use teflon anymore. dcs13 03-19-2005, 12:19:00 AM <font face="Arial,Verdana" size="2">Originally posted by tom3: I use teflon pipe thread dope.
