My camaro came with tall valve covers on it when I got it. I haven't taken them off but the heads are supposed to be 461's with roller tip rockers. Any way my question is, There are two access hole on the drivers side. The rear hole has a PVC valve and is connected to the carb. The front hole has a breather top on it. There is a singe hole on the passenger side which has the oil filler cap on it. Is it right to have the 2 vents on one side of the engine and none on the other? Should I swap the breather and oil filler caps? Your input is appreciated.

That setup would only pull air from that valve cover only and not the blowby. Switch the breather to the other side as you said.

Switching sides would do no harm.

However I am not sure it is necessary. Blowby from all pistons ends up in the same crankcase. Since each cylinder head has pathways to the crankcase then I don't see why all the venting could not occur through just one valve cover, especially if that one valve cover had two ways ways out.

Tempest in a teapot, IMO. Do whatever is aesthetically pleasing to you.
