which ones should i get? summit has them listed as "good", "better", and "best". im using the stock 350 rods but i was told to get ARP bolts. which ones should i get? its going to have some where around 350-425 fly wheel hp. i mite shift around 6500 RPM, depending on where the cam runs out.
thanks, jeremy

ALWAYS go with 'best' for your piece of mind

Either the standard or wave locks will be fine, no need for the pro series or ARP 2000's. The reality is your stock bolts will be fine to 6500, but most will tell you the stock bolts will fail at that point. Funny thing is the LT-1's, L-82's etc all had the same bolts as the mundane 307's and 350's of the day, never an issue.

too late, already ordered the best ones http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif cant hurt to have better bolts, even if the stock ones were good enough. i'd rather pay the extra 30 bucks then to have a rod go thru the side of my block... or worst, thru my brand new heads. the block was free and i have 2 more where that came from but my heads were $700. dont wanna mess them up.

When I was looking for new rod bolts for my 283 I was able to get the waveloc pros for less than the regular arp's. Overkill perhaps, but they really are quite beautiful to behold
