i have a few more quick questions to ask.

i am getting ready to torque my pro 1 heads and am wondering which spec to torque to. i am using ARP head bolts, and ARP says 60 with alum. heads, while dart says 70. which one should i go with

also. i am running cam CCA-12-771-8. when i bring it to true TDC, i adjust the rockers, then i rotate the engine clockwise and the lifters actually go down a few thousands more. Is the cam timing off, or is there that big of an overlap? CC says to set the lash at .016, and .018, which is tighter than my old solid cam, does CC have this figured in to happen that way?

thanks

i'd go with the bolt makers spec for torque.

on the rocker adjustment,, to make sure you're on true tdc,, turn the engine with a breaker bar on the damper bolt with the plugs out,, and watch the #1 intake rocker open and close. it's the second rocker from the front on the drivers side. after it closes the valve,, THEN bring the damper mark up to TRUE tdc. you might be in tdc overlap where you are now.

or use the exaust opening/intake closing method. turn the crank with a breaker bar and watch for when the exaust rocker/valve starts to open,, set that cylinder's intake rocker adjustment...... then move to the other valve,, when the intake vave passes full lift and starts closing,, set that cylinder's exaust rocker adjustment. hope it helps.
