Im planning to rebuild my COrvette LT1 engine and searching on the e bay for gasket and rering kits.
I found the following gasket kit, but they say "Non Corvette" .
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230034315831&rd=1,1
Im trying to understand whats the difference with corvette LT1 and F body LT1 blocks? mine is VIN P and 4bolt.
Thanks.

I think most LT1 blocks were two bolt mains, with exception of the LT4 blocks and the vette LT1, and I think GM replacement LT1s were 4 bolt.
Production blocks for F/B/D cars had two-bolt mains.
The B/D cars had iron heads with different head gasket thicknesses. F-cars had a slightly thicker head gasket. Not sure on the vette(Y) car gasket thickness, but if it is different then I guess that would explain why your vendor says non-vette???

Really a good point. I ll search the thicknesses.
