On a 1980 Camaro with the Edelbrock performer intake, Will a stock 4bbl Rochester Q-jet fit?
I'm confused about part numbers and such. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Sure will! And it's a great combo.

Well I'm trying to go stock and need the model number for the Rochester carb on a 1980 Z. Anyone interested in buying a used Holley? Its only 2 1/2 yrs old. Still on the car currently, which is a dailey driver.

I would get the $99 Autozone Qjet for a '69 Camaro.

I always asked for a 70 chevy truck same price!

Maybe I'm missing something here but the last time I bought a rebuilt Q-Jet, (and I had a core), AND from AutoZone, it was a LOT higher then $99!
How can I get one for $99??

Correct Rochester for a 1980 will be p/n 17080xxx. Mine is 17080203, IIRC.
The 170 carbs are from the M4ME series. Used 76-80 on Camaros.
I am running a Performer under my Qjet. It's a tight fit to the hood, but it fits, nonetheless.

I think what they mean is that if you go into an AutoZone to buy a carb, ask for one of a '69 Camaro or a '70 truck, since those models would be cheaper and still fit.

Make sure that if you ask for the '69 Camaro, that it has a power brake fitting on the rear. Some don't. Last one I got was for a '72 Chevy truck (400 V-8). It works great!
