what are the torque specs on Eagle SIR i beam rods for my sbc? they are ARP, and i cant find the sheet.

Before you put them in an engine diassemble them and retorque and check the size of the big end as we have sen to sets that have come through the shoop that we retorqued they went out of round up to .003 If they are SBC rods I not sure but I think they were torqued at 42 pounds. 1981z28owner 02-01-2007, 07:19:41 PM i just found out that they are 50ft. they are already in and assmbled. Bruce Sherman 02-02-2007, 04:27:07 PM Like said above make sure you have the rods resized when you change the bolts. Believe it or not it changes the rod clearences drasticly. 1981z28owner 02-02-2007, 07:43:23 PM they are the original arp bolts that came in the eagle rods. they are only about 1 years old. i just lost the spec sheet, but i just found it and they are 50 ft/lbs |
