Hi there- haven't been on in a while. Car is sitting in garage waiting for it to get warm enough that I wont STICK to the engine its so cold.

Got most of the top half about apart, looking to put on a new edelbrock carb and intake manifold.
It's an edelbrock 1406 carb.. the engine is an all original 305 in my '79 camaro, rochester 210 and all.

Since the old carb had the fuel line running into the front, with a solid steel tube running forward, and across the front of the engine down to the fuel pump, and as far as I can tell, the new carb draws fuel in the rear, what would be the best way to replace the line? Shall I bend up some new steel pipe? Can I use rubber in the engine bay only?

thanks for the help so far, and soon to come http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

no more than 12" of fuel line or you wont pass tech.. can you just cut the end of the old fuel line and use rubber to extend it the 6" or so it needs to be to reach the carb?

No more than 12" of rubber fuel line you mean?

And as far as tech.. don't expect this car to ever see drag strip use.. if that's what you mean. If you mean some sort of govt. regulation, then ok. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif

If you think I can just extend what's there with rubber then that's cool by me, didnt know if I could use rubber line at all for the gas.

You might try classic tube. They used to do some custom manufacturing on fuel lines and they carry almost everything stock. You might find something you can use there.
