I bought an 81 Z and need new seats - the bottoms are all rusty and seats are ripped - can I put seats from a newer Camaro into this car - will they fit in the same holes in the floor and are they the same size (back & front seats). thanks from a newbie on the board

No they dont just bolt in. I have 3rd gen seats in my camaro and I made some brackets so I could bolt the 2nd gen seat tracks to them. I dont reccomend making new holes in the floor to just "bolt in" newer seats

A lot of people write them off, but I have never heard anybody complain that actually owned one. Some people think if it is not an M21-22 is sucks. Same with the powerglide. I know a guy that was running 1000HP through the early style powerglides runnings 163MPH.
