oooo sounds awsome. my big block is on the mld to wild side. a little more mild though. but i have a feeling it will be clouds of goodyear smoke fun in the camaro.
when i had it in my 1970 C-10 which weighs almost twice the camaro it would throw ya back in the seet when ya mashed it to the floor. and that was with 31 inch tires and 2.73 gear in the back! so i can't wait to run the hondas out of the town with my car.

The low end grunt factor of a BBC is measured in perma-grins per mile. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

Had a 454 in my Chevelle so when I started working on my 73 Camaro the BBC torque was calling me back. I hope to put mine in by next month if the weather ever warms here. BBC + right foot + spinning tires = lots of smoke and fun.... Pat

Must be nice! My kid brother got the 454 from my dads car after he sold it and got something else. It can break the wheels no sweat in his belinetta with a 308 posi cruiseing at 40 or so. You must of had a weak small block though if you had ta' dump the clutch to get her to smoke http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif. I can do at least 25' or 30' smokers with my sb just by flat stabbing it.

I put my oil pressure guage in the front lower driver side. My guage came with the right size fitting. Maybe theres a kit with extra fittings... tried autozone?

my BB had the oil pressure sending unit on the back of the block too. iono exactly what size the step down pieces were but i know there were like 3 of them on there. did ya try asking people at like autozone or something like that if they could get the parts for ya? or maybe something like Jegs or summit would have a kit or something.

You can go to Home Depot and visit the brass fittings section and get what you need like I did. I am running a cheap oil pres gauge and copper line (since I don't take chances with nylon anymore). Just try and find a fitting close....and take it with (and buy a few since they're cheap and you can return the unused ones).

I'm going to put the sending unit on the end of the block on my next one though....its just a better location (after the pump for a more realistic pressure reading).

The block fitting should be 1/8" pipe!

Then go from there..
