Got major problems,put one new water pump etc.bolted the lower pulley an when i got ready to install the belt that runs the alternator is when i noticed that my bottom pulley was out to far!the waterpump pulley lines up just about half way the bottom pulley,these are the pulleys off of my 350,the alternater is also off but a small washer and it will be ok, using an aftermarket balancer (Doug Herbert) would the small block lower crank pulley be different? I thought all this stuff would bolt right on anyone had this problem? thanking u in advance...........

The pulleys are not the same.

A SBC pulley will not index correctly in a BBC balancer anyway.

You need BBC stuff...

You need a BBC crank pulley. Your alternator shouldnt have required any mods
