hey guys. ive never messed with cylinder heads before, so i apologize if this seems like a dumb question. i bought a 454 and it came with peanut port heads. so i bought some other heads but they didnt have rocker arms or rocker arm bolts. i bought a set of 3/8s pushrods and guideplates that came with new rocker arm bolts. i was planning on using those with the rocker arms from my peanut port heads.......is this ok? and other than locktite and about 50#'s, is there anything else i need to do, or is it just bolt n go? thanks guys.

have the heads been machined and drilled to accept guide plates and screw in studs?

You bet, exactly what you stated.

also, with the rocker are studs you will probably need to use a thread sealant instead of loctite if they go into a runner or a water jacket. if anyone else knows for sure about that since it is a BBC, and i only rebuild SBC. lol

They are either blind or go into the intake port.

thanks. i was not sure 100 percent, i know my darts on my sbc just go into the runner, but i am still going to use sealant
