Guys,
If I go from a 1.5 to a 1.6 ratio rocker, will I need to change lifters or any other parts?

View Full Version : 1.6 Ratio Rockers prats4 01-24-2007, 10:55:04 AM Guys, If I go from a 1.5 to a 1.6 ratio rocker, will I need to change lifters or any other parts? JP Marv D 01-24-2007, 11:22:42 AM simple swap of the rockers, nothing else, but be SURE to check valve to piston clearance. Typically not an issue with most mildly modified motors, but it's YOUR responsibility to check, no one elses. Cardinal 01-24-2007, 12:00:15 PM Why? prats4 01-24-2007, 12:13:16 PM Why what? rustbucket79 01-24-2007, 01:05:59 PM Sheesh, I must be the only one who's attemped to install 1.6 rockers and found that the pushrods would have rubbed the rocker stud side of the pushrod slot. Totally agree with what Marv stated as well, and you need to know that the springs will take the additional lift, seal to retainer clearance is adequate, etc. NOT not not a drop on with a stock set of heads, ever! |
