Hi everyone!
I have a 1980 Z28 with a 350 bored .030 over. I am putting on a edelbrock performer with my good old Quad on top! Can anyone give me a specific camshaft upgrade that will be "rumpy" but driveable? How much lift and duration will still allow my car to very driveable?
Thanks,
Jason

Check out the Reed Brute Street 272DP. No head modifications, sounds like what you need.

Sheesh, does every cam out there need a silly name now?
A mild cam with a somewhat restrictive exhaust will give the rough idle most people are looking for yet still maintain street manners.
Comp high energy 260H is a good choice
Speed Pro/Dynagear/Elgin/Melling 214/214 112 L/S .443"/.443" is another good choice.
Both styles will work with a stock torque converter and mild/stock engine and give you a bit of a rough idle, esp if you lower the idle speed to 650 RPM or so.

Will 16:1 rockers help also?

You mean 1.6 ratio rockers..
You need to try them on first both, then the intakes and finally on just the exhausts b/c most engines react some differently with them.
Btt cam..
You might consider Crane's 274H06 and Isky's 270 Mega cams b/c of the closer lobe center angles creating more "cackle" that you seem to want idling around town..

How about the Lunati VooDoo 60101? It runs a .454 IN / .468 EX Lift and the tappet lift @ .050 is 213 IN / 219 EX using stock 1.5 rocker ratio. Good from 1000 - 5500 RPM.

We've used both the Edelbrock Performer cam and the Comp 268H with great results. Very mild lope and great torque from them.
As for 1.6:1 rockers, IMHO, if you bought the right cam in the first place, you don't need them.
