Here's what my 66 ford truck shop manual has,Timing/non-thermactor(btdc) 300/standard 6*,auto 10*,300md/standard 12*,auto 12*.Thermactor(btdc)300/standard 0*,auto 0*.300md/standard -,auto-.Points Conventional 0.025 in.,transistor 0.024-0.026 in. Dwell conventional 37*-42*,transistor 37*-42*.I bought this book years ago on ebay,when I had a 66 pickup but sold truck.If you friend wants this book let me know.I will sell them.This is volume 2 and I think I also have volume 1.Hope this helps.
