View the standard ones as pretty much same as stock.

I'm useing napa std. motor mounts on my 88 camaro. I would say they are alittle better than stock, and a hell of a lot better than stock 30+ year old ones.

thanks for the info, one final question are they made of rubber or polyurithane or some kind of plastic?

Likely rubber.
The guys at my local NAPA are really cool - I'd just go down and ask to look at one. See if they have any input as to which is better.

Hey Karel,
Here's what I did: Took off my original mounts, took the apart & replaced the rubber with Energy Suspension Poly mounts.
Lucky for me, AutoZone had them on the shelf here locally, otherwise, I'd have to order them from Summit.
I also have the trans mount from ES.

hi Alp,
i've seen those $50 ES kits with engine mounts + trans mount at summit too.. looked pretty good..
how do those poly mounts affect ride quality? do they make the car shake more?

Hey Karel,
They do tighten up the chassis pretty good. The ride I've noticed is a good compromise between stock rubber bushings and solid aluminum. Soon I'll be getting some Edelbrock Classic shocks to round out my poly bushing upgrade.
Also, don't forget that they'll out last rubber by a wide margain.
BTW, Hot Rod Power Tour is coming to my town in June! I hope to have my car in it!
