Marv D 02-19-2005, 08:19:00 AM Guys are grinding cranks to the Honda rod journal diameter to reduce bearing surface and friction losses. The early GM cranks were 2.00" If you can find rods and bearings for it,, I don't see what the problem would be. I think you would be better off with a steel crank to invest this much into, but as far as 'will it work'? I don't see why not. pdq67 02-20-2005, 12:29:00 AM I have read somewhere that you can buy .100" undersized BB bearing sets so that tells me that they and the Honda bearing SB crank stuff means our cranks are DARN tough!! Honda bearing are what 1.880" or something like that vs 2.100"!!!!!! And they run SB cranks like that in 8 to 9,000 rpm Pro-Stock trucks!! pdq67 |
