Does anyone have a part number for a fram 2" air filter element?

Before anyone claims that Fram air filters are sh!t and gets this thread locked, do you need it for a chrome 14 inch air cleaner or for a factory style air cleaner?

I don't think you're going to find an exact 14x2 fit in a Fram. I had the same trouble when looking for a 14" filter. I would go after whatever you can find on the web, or check your local parts store and see if they have a "performance" section. I foud a couple places on the web that have them. Just search for 14x2 air filter on google.

Does it have to a Fram? If not to that question, see if you can get your hands on a Mr. Gasket #1480A. It measures 14"x2".

For anyone with the hood clearance, Fram part number CA3492 is a 14" element that sits approximately 4 1/2" - 5" tall.

You could always go into walmart or whatever store you have, with a tape measure.

After I ran a speed shop for a few years and then got into OEM replacement parts, I had many guys do just that. I quickly learned to write down the filters that would fit those chrome air cleaners, from 14 x 1 low profile to 14 x 5 hi-rise, to save them the trouble.
The OEM replacement companies make what fits OEM air cleaners, and there just happen to be a few applications that will do the trick. Long gone from my memory bank now though. Sorry.

I have the K&N and ACCEL part #'s for their SHORTEST 14" diameter filters at home. They're less than 2.5" (one is like 57mm, the other is 59mm).
They're for 79/80 Peugeot's of all cars http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
EDIT - K&N part # E 3740 14 x 2.3 (59mm)
ACCEL Kool Blue - KR 3005 14 x 2.25 (57mm)
