Ok, here's the deal. Anymore personal attacks - especially with the language that was used by you two - and I will lock your accounts. No ifs, ands or buts about it. If you 2 want to air your dirty laundry, why don't you give each other a call - cell phone rates are cheap and you can cover a lot more that way. Either that or by email, but you are not going to do it in this public forum. Nobody wants to weed through all of the back and forth bashing between you.

I want to apologize to the members for my part in this getting out of hand. I was trying to post intelligently - if you look through the threads, you will see who instigated what - but I shouldn't have let this member aggravate me the way I did.

I was hoping that there could be some intelligent discourse on the subject of filters for the benefit of other members, and tried to provide what I could towards that goal.

I've got a pretty good track record on this board of being helpful and friendly, and will stand on that.

I used improper language once, and apologize for that. I didn't use the F word, I didn't attack anyone else's profession, I didn't tell anyone to stick anything up their you know what.

I have no interest in speaking personally to this member on the phone or via e-mail, nor has he offered his apology for his conduct. I will continue to post intelligently where I feel I should, and refrain from posting with this member or carrying out any further debates with him.

I was just trying to talk intelligently about filters, Shane. Sorry.

Rich, your filter comparison was very thorough and complete, it's all old news to me, I know there is no comparison between Wix and Fram, less informed members should be able to learn the same. It's a shame that thread had to be locked so quickly, lots of good info there.

Shane, he's been added to my "Do not engage under any circumstances" list. It is unfortunate that I have to maintain such a list, but you know how things go.
