Recently my brother painted his car, (80 camaro) the car was stoped for about 2 week while we was working in the body, when we finish we turn on the engine, let it warm a little we went to the autoparts and returned to the workshop, there he made a little burnout, the next day, when he went to work the engine start to do too much noise, losing power and then turn off, we try to start it again but we cant, i think the connecting rods was broken, what could do this to dont do it with my camaro

Generally they just give. There isnt anything you can do to prevent it, but you can make sure that when the motor is rebuilt that the rods are new or at least checked real good.
