Depends on how much advance is setup in your distributor.
I set my timing at total advance of 38 degrees. I have the smallest bushing in my distributor giving me the most amount of timing advance. At idle my timing is 10 degrees.
On my racecar it is different I run the largest bushing and run at idle is 22 degrees with a total of 38 degrees.

That cam will like lots of initial timing to help with idling, try 16 degrees and see how that works. I run my timing locked out at 38 degrees, starts/idles/drives like a champ! (a really high stall converter helps with the success)
