UPDATE:
martZ: i have you down for a bare set

Marv: i have you down for a bare set also.

aceshigh: have you down for a custom engraved bbc covers.

brit from chevelle tech: oilfill and breather holes bbc covers.

mwilson: SBC engraved with breatherholes cut

Would there be any intrest in these? If we can get 10 or more people I can sell these for

$230 for the sbc
$260 for the bbc and gen III

prices normally run around
$250 for the sbc
$280 for the bbc and gen III
gen III would cost more for the coil brackets, pcv provisions, and cap. Also, coil's wouldnt be included.

if you wanted pcv provisions for the sbc or bbc covers that can be done at extra cost along with custom engraving and anodizing

Ron, could they make/sell them for a little less if they did away with the Chevrolet logo and license. I would be more interested in blank covers (but thats just me). Looks like nice pieces.

Jeff Johnston makes plain ones for $159 a set, engraved for $25 a set if you buy 5 sets. We've used a lot of these and they are first class.

Those are the sportsmans series. They don't have the billet rail or the recessed bold holes. For something equivilent to what ron is selling you would have to go with the professional series. When I bought my professional series from jeff johnston's it was in the neighborhood of $315

I hate to sound rude but if your going to jump in here and try to bash my product try to do it in another thread please. Our covers we sell are top notch quality. As a new sponsor to the board I would think that offering group purchases and nastyz28.com member sales would be greatly appreciated. I also figured that if I support the site the members would support me not point customers the other way. I know if some one comes to me asking about camaros I suggest this site. if it's elcamino's www.elcaminocentral.com (http://www.elcaminocentral.com) or malibus i suggest www.maliburacing.com. (http://www.maliburacing.com.) Although I do appreciate the link I'll be sure to bookmark it so I know what the "other guy" is doing

sorry I was talking about onovakind67 and jakeshoe. It just kinda errks me that I try to offer a deal and they would turn people away. It's not like I'm scamming and jacking up prices. I'm making the same amount of profit no matter how many I sell.

Ahhh you not giving it a chance Ron. Let the post run for a couple of days before you withdraw the offer. Lot's of members can't get in here till evenings. I think you'll find there is more interest to come.

Can you give us a little more detail, like they are obviously tall, will they clear w/ poly locks and a stud girdle (speaking of the SBC perimiter bolt covers) Is it a billet or stamped rail. There are going to be those curious of they will clear GM OEM a/c compressor location,, stuff like that would be good to have out there as interest builds. Cost on anodizing, engraving (- intricate custom logos of course)
It looks like a real nice piece, probably going to have you put me down for a pair, blank, and I'll cut the holes for the evac.

Ron, I'm interested.

I'm ordering a ZZ454 for my '78 in a few weeks. ( I just got approved for my reimbursement for $4300 today....WOOOHOOO!!!)

I'm looking for a cool and unique set of Valve covers for my new motor.

Powdercoating available ?? If yes, how much??
Custom engraving eh ?
What would it cost for "Ace's (Chevy logo) ZZ454" ...??

Also, can someone help me out with why this is a better option in a valve cover??

I seriously have no clue....
FYI , mine is to be a street car...rare occasion strip use to get an ETA but that's it. Is this a bonus for my goal here or un necessary?

the billet rail or the recessed bold holes.

EDIT...
Nevermind, I was impatient and I just called the competitor on his site to ask him what the billet rails advantage was. He told me that they are for added sealing and THEY ARE DISCONTINUING THEIR $159 SPORTMAN SERIES because they don't seal as well....and can leak......Soooo....there you all have it.

Oh yeah, and for sh*ts and giggles I asked what his Pro series costed to compete with Ron's products.....his cost is $331 per pair.

I saved you all the time and wasted energy.
So yeah, Ron, I'm very interested.
Get back to me with prices when you're ready. I have the money.

Maybe even an engraved Rat Fink on them would be possible?? lol

Ron,
I'm not bashing your product.

I'm sure they're nice. Both sets look nice to me.

However,
IMO these boards are places for gearheads to share experiences, good and bad and also to spread word about good deals, good vendors, bad vendors, etc..

I'm personally not real big on "parts whoring" by businesses in the middle of a tech forum, but it isn't my board so my opinion counts for little.
I also understand basic economics, that is costs Madmike to run this place, so a "supporting vendor" is a very good way to do so.

I understand you're trying to cut a deal to some members, great.

However, being in business also comes with competition. If you can't deal with competition I don't know what to tell ya...

Be like Bill Gates I guess.

If you run into that situation,
you should explain what makes you covers better...

After reading the differences, they do seem to be a better cover. No problem.

I would in fact pay a few more bucks for a supporting vendors stuff, if all else was equal.

Marv,
Believe me it is a thought....

I do like the fabbed vc's, and I need a set to put the 505 together AGAIN....

I was looking at the Moroso die cast covers in the black crinkle though..... Something about those look good on a BBC or SBC.

I'm in a holding pattern at the moment....
I have funds but may be buying some "kit" to go do some "contracting work".
Bored of the normal life again...

I don't think they were comparing apples to apples. The other covers were a lower version and their top version is more then yours.

I would say most people on this board are just trying to get a good deal and I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you have a good product and it is priced right people will buy it.

I DID just buy a set from the metioned 'competitor', and wish I had known about Rons deal sooner.

I will say my experience with the 'competitor' was not all that great. VERY poor customer service, they don't answer their phones, don't return their calls, and the covers took about 5 weeks to get to my door step, because I had them weld a -12 fitting on the front of the cover. ONE SIMPLE fitting.

Yet, they put it on CROOKED.... and paid 380 dollars after shipping.

So, it doesn't look like Ron has any 'REAL' competition.

Who's still down for a set? I have to sell some of these. How about this untill the 16th you can buy these for $10 off the regular price. so you wont have to worry about waiting or any of that. Just place your order for what you want. If we can get ten people then we'll do the $20 off
