Craggar, is there any issues with changing the oil filter with that type pan?

I have a Milodon kick out pan on a 70 with a 461BBC. No clearance issues. I use a long oil filter, but can't fill it completely before installing, as I have to tilt it and get it aeound the header collector, most of the oil leaks out before I get it straight again and started on the threads.

With a short filter it's no problem but like Wayne said a long one is tight. If the engine is cold I put a piece of plastic under the filter to keep all the oil from going on my headers when I take the old one off.
It's a 6 quart Brandon.
