i was wondering if 7 qt kicked out oil pans fit clear a 71 subrame frame

I run a Canton road race pan that is a 7 qt. It is no deeper than stock but has kickouts behind the crossmember. It is very tight to get the starter out & messy as he!! to change the filter but everything clears.

I run the Moroso #20191 pan and it clears the frame fine. I run a mini starter so I can't tell you how well it would clear a regular starter, but it has plenty of room for the mini. Oil changes are okay as well. It will clear stroker cranks and comes with a windage tray and crank scraper.

I'm running the same Moroso #20191 on my street toy,, NICE pan. On my pile oil changes are a REAL PITA. The angleplug headers I used leave NO room to get the filter in and out without turning it sideways, and fishing it to the back past the collector. Removal makes for a nice oily frickin mess all over the headers.I doubt you will have much problem with most any of the 7qt kickout pans as far as frame and starter clearance. But the headers you choose can make a big problem. And you won't know till everything is all bolted up and you see for yourself.

I have the Moroso roadrace pan on my car. Installing the engine with it in place is a PITA but it fits great one there. You will want to run the super hi-cap oil fiter with it

I have a canton 7qt pan on mine and it seems to fit pretty well but oil changes and the starter are going to be a bit of a p.i.t.a. I think.

hey thanks for the information...i was think about buying a set of hedman 1 3/4..ball and socket collector area...i looked the morso pan up...i'll check on the canton one(where did you buy , how much?)

The summit house brand 7 qt, kicked out sump pan is a good deal for $75.

It don't have a built in windage tray or scraper but it does have gate type baffles in the pan

I run the Milodon on mine. Absolutey cannot change the oil filter without breaking the header loose (Hooker Super Comps). Another one of those "Oh sh*t" moments...
