I know some of you are using the performer and a stock hood. What air cleaner are you using? Thanks

Please let ME know....I tried and I had like an inch of clearance....I was running a Holley spreadbore at the time....

Sorry to tell you, but this combination won't fit under a stock hood and have room for an air cleaner. You will have about 1 inch above the top of the carb like Wayne said. I run a Qjet on top of the Performer 2-O intake and I had to run a cowl hood.

I swore someone on here said the performer fit. Who was it??? Thats why I got one.

There's a CHANCE....if you ran a stock aircleaner and some sorta dropped center lid that the stud didn't stick up....don't ask me how it'd work....but it might fit...

I guess some of us figured the cowl hood as an automatic addition to the BBC http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

Now, if you got a LS5 intake.....that's a different story....

The base with the most drop is the Holley "Avenger"

I put one on a 454, it had about 1/4" cleance with stock hood.
