I found an ad in the local paper for a chevy 454. Running and complete, 40k on it. Apparently is was ordered over the counter. I havent seen the engine yet, the ad has a casting #14015445. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Yes it does John....thanks. What else should I be looking for. Im knew to the Big Block thing. Ive always wanted one for my 79z, and this seems to be a good deal. What could I expect to pay it? Like I said, the ad says GM performance parts 454 Crate Motor - complete & running

I have no clue what it would be worth. I'd maybe look at how much a new one cost and gage from that. I do know how much you can put into building one, and that has no limit!

Yeah, its normal. I can still remember when my BBC come home for the first time. I took pictures all the time and then it started to fade just like the others!
