How difficult is it to instal the choke kite on a manual choke carb?

I have a 800 cfm eddy carb with manual choke and instead of running the cable i would rather just wire it for an electric choke.

Or would it be easier to just get an electric choke carb?

It depends on the carb. If your carb is designed to have an electric choke, and Edelbrock offers one for it, buy it and install it. If that particular carb wasn't offered with an electric choke, you could try to adapt one to it, but don't expect it to ever work correctly. If you have to live with a messed up electric choke, you will soon want to go back to the manual one.

the good things about the manual choke are:

- you know they work (because they are either on or off)

- theyre cool (unless your the type that likes electric windows and heated seats.)

My Holley kit was cake... took about 10 mins, and I didn't even take the carb off the engine. Dunno about Edelbrock though.
