This is a great site. I was turned on to it today by a friend who knew I was going to look at a 71 Z28 RS.

I got the information off the tag under the hood, but I have one question.

everything appears normal except the paint code.

the codes are
ST71 12487NOR 130826 BDY
770 49 49

I cannot find code 770 as a paint color???

ideas or did I just write something down wrong.

The paint code is 49 which is Antique green. 770 would be the interior color. Look here, partway down the page.

770 isn't on the list, but 778 and 779 are greens.

Assuming that you have posted all of the info from the Trim Tag, the car isn't a Z28. The car is Norwood built, and should have the Z28 followed by the stripe code on the Trim Tag. You better dig a bit more into this car before getting out your Checkbook...:eek:
